Topless Tuesday

No, no, I did not go topless. But at least I got your attention. Today I went with a top I have been waiting to wear... for like a week. It was a light cream colored flower crochet top. It has wide holes so I wore a hot pink camisole under it for coverage. That is wear I got the topless from. I paired the top half with a favorite pair of wide leg jeans and pink and purple floral wedges. Major. I already had two compliments before I walked out of my house door (mom and dad). I also wore earthy jewelry and a pink ice ring. I carried the same hemp bag from Ecuador. I thought today was going to be a little cooler because this morning it was only 70 degrees, to bad it was 95 by lunch, so the jeans were a little hot, but at least I stayed cozy in class. I also, once again, brought a pair of morocco print toms for fourth period. When I got home I changed into trouser shorts so I would be cooler for afternoon activities, like my boyfriends softball games. His team got runners up for the league woo! And I left my toms on so I would be a bit more practical.
Tomorrow is another hot day, but with hurricane Earl coming in we may have some rain.

Maroon on Monday

Mondays are always the most dreaded day of the week, especially during the school year. There is only one good thing I can think of... a week of new fabulous outfits. This Monday I went with a maroon Fossil drape neck dress. It has a small square print, classy. The dress is gathered underneath the bust line to accentuate the best parts of a body. I wore chocolate wedges with flowers, and a cropped khaki blazer. It gets very chilly in my school sometimes. I wore coconut shell heart earrings, a gold vintage watch and a diamond ring. I carried a handmade hemp bag from Ecuador. I knew I would be walking around the school a lot during fourth period so i brought a pair of brown gladiators for that. This is one of my favorite dresses, it is so comfortable. I think people are crazy when they ask why I wear dresses so much, they are a thousand times more comfortable than skinny jeans. Sorry this post is so short, I have just had an extremely busy day.

Third Times the Charm

Hey Everyone!

Sorry for the delay, but at least the internet is back up so I am only a day late. Yesterday was our first "Spartan Friday". Spartan Friday is when everybody at the school wears something to show support for our school. This Friday we were all supposed to wear black to "blackout the tigers". Well I was not prepared to wear a t-shirt yet, so I went with a casual black dress, with a skinny silver braided belt, black and silver stud earrings, a paua shell necklace for pop, two silver charm bracelets, and reinvented my me silver sandals. My beagle, Dexter, got a hold of them a few weeks ago chewed the strap in half. Those sandals were some of my favorite shoes ever so I had to find a way to fix them. So I took both straps completely off and put where the straps would go black shoelaces out of an old pair of sneakers. Wrapped the shoe string around my ankle until it was the right length and tied it in a bow. I actually got many compliments on them, and I think they look cuter now! One thing that did not go right with my outfit was the black dress was extremely thin and you could see right through it so I had to find something to wear underneath. I found a short white dress i normally wear over bathing suits to wear under it. The white dress was borderline the same length as the black dress so I was incessantly checking to see if it was hanging out underneath. Other than that I was happy with my outfit and was able to have school spirit and stay in style! I did change before I went to the football game into something a little more comfortable, a screaming Spartans tee shirt and denim pin stripe shorts with the same shoes and jewelry. We ended up winning the game in overtime woo!
Go Spartans!

Two Times the Rope

Hi All,

Today was my second day of school. We started to get down to business. I knew we were going to have to write an essay in English and any time I have to do anything for a long amount of time I always like to make sure I wear something i will be comfortable in, so I went with a skirt. It was an orange, white, yellow, and pink floral print. It hit right above the knee, teacher approved. There is no reason to have to worry about anything hanging out anyways, especially in school. I wore it at a high waist, paired with a long white rope belt, wrapped multiple times. For shoes I went with a pair of white wedges. Wedges sometimes amaze at how comfortable they can be! Up top I wore a basic round neck white fitted tee, with statement silver jewelry, a double row freshwater pearl bracelet, and a major silver bag with a quilted pattern. everything about this outfit I love, however I wish would have gotten a smaller size in the skirt because throughout the day it tends to loosen up. I also wish I would have added a long silver necklace.
Only 178 to go!

First Impressions

Hello,
My name is Madison Broadway. I attend Central Davidson High School in North Carolina. Throughout my senior year I plan to post daily about what I wear to school each day. I will post pros and cons about my outfits, what I wish I would have done differently and what I am most proud about. Today was my first day of my senior year. I have always thought that what a person wears is extremely important. By looking at what a person is wearing you can figure out many characteristics about that person without even saying one word to them. It is said that you should not judge a book by its cover, but honestly who does not? There is a difference about judging someone on raw features and how they put themself together. If someone is put together well then you can tell that they are most likely organized and care about where they are going to go in life.
Well enough chit-chat. Now to the fashion.

Today I wanted to start out my year with something to make a statement, but nothing that would make the people in my small town go 'what is she thinking'. So, I chose a black romper with gold buttons, paired with a creme cropped cardigan with a black sequin trim. Black patent leather flats, that I actually wore my first day of my freshman year, and small gold hoops, a vintage gold and diamond watch, and a big gold ring with a black stone. I carried a creme vintage bag with gold details. I was very happy with my outfit and I got many compliments. I do wish I would have picked a different ring because the one I wore was almost too big. I found myself taking it off multiple times. The shoes I wore were a little tight and I really wish I had a pair of gold flats to wear with the outfit. The romper was one of the most comfortable things I have ever worn to school, I could seriously live in rompers. Tonight I attended a softball game and I did not change clothes. Pieces that are versatile, like a romper, are a must for any wardrobe.

Today the tempature stayed in the mid 80s.

I look forward to 179 more fashionable days!
